The systematic effort witnessed in SPSR Nellore district highlights India’s progressing focus on confronting issues of exploitative practices like begging, bonded labour, and underage employment. The collaboration between various government agencies-backed by schemes such as Mission Vatsalya-is an encouraging model for addressing these challenges comprehensively. The rehabilitation initiatives signal a positive step toward restoring dignity and opportunities for affected children but emphasize that sustained policy implementation is critical. The provision of financial assistance alongside educational integration reflects thoughtful measures; however, consistent monitoring against relapse into these exploitative conditions remains essential. More broadly across India’s districts facing similar vulnerabilities among disadvantaged youth populations-replicating programs like Mission Vatsalya at scale could benefit systemic intervention structures visibly tackling root causes.
